The other tech refused to come in to even look at it. I was actually on vacation but at home so I dropped what I was doing and went in to fix the problem. For instance, when I did have another tech who was on call, I got a call that the mantrap door to soft count would not open in the middle of the night for the drop team. Hardest part of the job was being on call 24-7 and being responsible to be close enough all the time in case something went wrong. Helping the electricians and IT department as needed when time would allow. Built and maintained camera layout for inside and outside in map form using Visio software. Run through every camera (865 of them including over 100 PTZ's) and make sure the quality of picture and operation was sufficient. Checking with other departments to see if any upcoming events would need special coverage.

Went through all 17 servers making sure they were all operating at 100%. If something major went down I would respond ASAP to take care of the problem. Being on call 24-7 required as I was the only tech for so long there. A typical day would start out with checking malfunction log and dealing with any malfunctions over night.
